Description |
3-Hydroxyglabrol is found in herbs and spices. 3-Hydroxyglabrol is from Glycyrrhiza glabra (licorice) 3-hydroxyglabrol has been shown to exhibit anti-microbial function (PMID 7381508 ).3-Hydroxyglabrol belongs to the family of Flavanonols. These are compounds containing a flavan-3-one moiety, which structure is characterized by a 2-phenyl-3,4-dihydro-2H-1-benzopyran bearing an hydroxyl group and a ketone at the carbon C2 and C3, respectively.
